A volcano is breathing...
The archipel of Santorini is famous for its prehistoric volcano eruption at Minoan times around 1627 B.C. and the last eruption took place in 1950 on Nea Kameni island. Also there is an active submarine volcano in the northeast of the main island Thera.
Due to the volcanic activity there are many weak swarm earthquakes that are probbaly connected to the upcomming magma chamber below the island. There is no acute danger, but be aware of rockfalls at steep areas and at the edges of the caldera rim.
